Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
Psalm 5:3 (NLT)
This is an example of how we should bring our prayers to God. Even for those who aren’t morning people, there is still a time that you wake up to start your day. No matter the time on the clock, we all have some kind of daily schedule with a start and an end. God wants our “first” – just think about the tithe.
Try starting your next day by giving God something of your life first. It could be a couple of minutes reading a daily verse and talking to God. Maybe just a quick, “Good morning, Lord. Thank you for….”
Father, thank You for Your Word and for loving us. Help me to set my eyes and my mind on you first when I get up in my mornings.
